Jill Costello and Jimmy Kilmartin ;

Wedding September 17, 2005 ; 4:00 PM

At Riverland Farm, Mequon, WI

   The wedding of our daughter Jill to Jimmy Kilmartin on September 17,2005 was spectacular..everything at the farm went as well or better than I could have hoped. The weather was perfect!  The flowers gorgeous, Our daughter, Jill looked beautiful and her fiancee Jimmy was very handsome. His mom and family from Ireland were all so wonderful  and participated in all of our activities..lending a special ingredient to this occasion.   The horses were braided and made lovely with flowers and ribbons, and the pony , Honey was the flower pony. Jill was carried to the cermony in a small show cart pulled by Charmer a wonderful  Morab ( half Arabian, half Morgan) we had owned who was lent to us  by his present owners for the occasion and he was all decked out in his finest tack and flowers . Jill's father, Marty helped her from the cart and took her to Jimmy and the ceremony began..to the tune of John Denver's "You fill up my Senses"..(Annie's Song).

  After the lovely vows written by Jimmy and Jill, and wonderful hors d'oeuvres, we all went to the big white tent, for a delicious dinner of sea bass and beef tenderloin, then karaoke, and dancing, and a special cake!! (pictures to come)

The full moon was beautiful, right on cue, as if I had ordered it, it rose in pink and purple sky..just lovely!

Thank you to all who have written with good wishes .  WWC

Now the cake!!

This was a very special cake.Wendy and Jill had a blast picking it out, tasting all of the  samples and then designing it. Jimmy's favorite flavor was the order of the day, chocolate, very chocolate!! with mousse and ganoche and whatever!! Jill ordered the cake toppers and hand painted them to look like the "members of her family".. and then she placed them on the cake. She had decided where the layers were to go..

Let's see, there is Jimmy on Jake (western style) , Jill on Dilly,(Dressage style) , Bubba and Pretty Girl, the German shepherds, Blue the Blue Heeler momma dog, The goats are Cayenne, and Coffee, adult goats, and the two goatlings, Sparky and Trouble., the Rooster is Mad Max, and the hen is Hen Wen. There are also  other horses on their farm, if I can remember...Spider, Nellie (pregnant), Evie, her colt Dunny, Tony Pony and  Sammie R.. pretty good for not living there.

Yes the cake was cut, however a pact had been made to not dirty the dress! So... see below
