Spring

2007

Hello everyone,
How are you all doing?
I hope I can make this short. I feel I have been out of touch a bit, but so many exciting things going on that could  be of interest to horse lovers, breeders, and my friends, those of us who became connected  because of Donavan, or other  mutual interests.
Any thing that can be  explained better by going to the website , I will just say “website.”

First, my husband has retired from the “Day job” , after 30 years with Miller Brewing company (now SABMiller). Now he can  really be put to  good use with the growing Riverland Sporthorse Breeding.
The upside is that  he is here to help me more of the time, and the accounts will be even  more accurate and things will be done more with an eye on economics, ie the profit goal and the down side is that he is here all of the time,   the accounts will be even more .....you get the idea. :-)  In other words, I cannot go on collecting too many horses, haha.

Second , Donavan is super.  He is healthy, and  a bit  upset that for breeding  he had to move from his new digs at the Y-Camp, (website ). He is being collected right now , it is breeding season. So anyone who is in line for breeding, or thinking about it , please get forms filled out, fees in and information shared  with me and Wisconsin Equine clinic : Communication /timing/skill is key in this breeding business.

3rd. WE have two foals on the ground, a third on the way.  Colt is sold, filly is adorable! (website).
4th. We have a new Stallion, Rosall by Rosario (Rubinstein). (Website)
5th. JJ Tate our longtime associate, trainer/rider has relocated her training business to Maryland when not in Florida for winter.  (website).
6th. WE are thinking of looking at Maryland as a possible relocation..it is a coincidence..Marty attended the Naval Academy in Annapolis and we loved it there.  So wouldn’t that be a wonderful  thing to be near JJ.
Oh we go out to MD to watch JJ ride  in the Johannes Westendarp clinic for Young Horses  at the end of the month, and to ride our  very successful Donavan  sons, Duesenjaeger, and Davy Crockett.  Duesenjaeger, Pilot is for sale..more on website.
WE will also watch them at a show at Morven Park, VA. Pilot is now at Second, schooling 3rd, changes and Piaffe! Davy just earned a 71 % at Training, first show! Qualified for Regionals.

There are new horses, youngsters for sale, several sold recently..website Sales page.- Take a look! Meet my riding horse Faith, mustang/hanoverian X yes! (mare page)what a neat horse she is!

Biggest news , our son Adam, and his wife, Helen, are expecting their first child, a boy, and our first Grandchild. Due July 2.

Happy Breeding, foaling and horsin Around!
Stay in touch.,
Wendy
